Several years ago, God placed in the heart of an IGo student the burden of reaching at-risk women in Chiang Mai’s red-light districts. Since then, God has continued to open and close doors of ministry opportunity. All the while God has used Ransom to touch the lives of many Thai women and girls.
In the recent months, the Ransom Management Team (RMT) has been discerning what steps Ransom should take in the future. We rest in God’s sovereignty, as found in Isaiah 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord”.
The Ransom Management Team (RMT), with the blessing of the IGo Board of Directors, has decided to discontinue Ransom Ministries indefinitely. This decision was made after several months of prayer, discussions that were had in the States and in Thailand, and along with input from Ransom’s Thai advisor.
RMT’s dream would be to begin afresh at some point in the future, but no details or plans are being put into place at this time. We ask that you remain in prayer for what God may have in the future for Ransom Ministries.
Any donations will be held by Ransom Ministries for future ministry consideration. If the ministry does not open again, funds will be dispersed to a similar ministry and/or to Institute for Global Opportunities.
